Skincare Routine Builder

How it works

A good routine is the right steps in the right order, not the most steps. Tell this builder your skin type, the one concern you care about most, and how long a routine you will honestly stick to, and it builds your morning and evening routine from product types, with the reason each step is there. This is general cosmetic guidance. For an ongoing skin condition, a dermatologist is the right stop.

Build your routine

1. Your skin type

2. Your main concern

3. How long a routine?

Give a new routine 4 to 6 weeks before judging it, and add one new product at a time, a few days apart, so you know what is doing what.

Routine rules that matter

  • Order is thinnest to thickest: watery products first, creams last, sunscreen always the final morning step.
  • Sunscreen every morning is the one non negotiable step. Everything else works better when skin is protected.
  • Introduce one new active at a time. Starting three strong products in the same week is how skin gets irritated.
  • Do not combine a retinoid and a strong exfoliating acid on the same night at the start. Alternate nights instead.
  • Patch test a new product on a small area for a few days when your skin is sensitive.
  • A routine you do every day beats a perfect routine you abandon in week two.
